BJJ class at C4 Nambucca
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Ground-based. Technical. No striking.

BJJ is a grappling martial art that teaches you to control a situation on the ground using leverage, positioning, and technique. Size and strength matter far less than you'd think. That's what makes it so practical.

At C4 Nambucca, we train No-Gi. No kimono required. Just board shorts and a rash guard. Classes cover positions, escapes, takedowns, submissions, and live rolling when you're ready.

BJJ coach Bran Richards runs all BJJ classes. His approach focuses on solid fundamentals and understanding how the art actually works. Not just drilling moves in isolation.

Muay Thai

Striking. Conditioning. The Art of Eight Limbs.

Muay Thai is a striking martial art from Thailand that uses punches, kicks, elbows, and knees. It's as much about fitness and conditioning as it is about technique. It genuinely delivers both.

Classes at C4 Nambucca cover proper fundamentals: stance, footwork, combinations, pad work, and conditioning. No one gets thrown into heavy sparring before they're ready. The focus is technique first, fitness second, intensity when appropriate.

All Muay Thai classes are coached by Dan Yosun Peawkumdee, Thai-Australian, Nambucca-raised, and trained in Muay Thai for over 8 years. His approach is technical, structured, and welcoming to beginners at every class.

Please note: Muay Thai does not currently offer a free trial class. To enquire about joining a Muay Thai class, get in touch below and we'll get back to you.

Enquire About Kids Muay Thai

What to know before your child starts.

Is it safe?

Classes are structured with safety as the priority. Kids are taught how to fall, how to tap out, and how to respect their training partners from session one. Coaches keep a close eye on the group throughout every class.

What age can they start?

Kids BJJ starts from age 4. Kids Muay Thai starts from age 5. If you're unsure whether your child is ready, just get in touch and we'll have a conversation.

What do they need to bring?

For BJJ: comfortable workout clothes (shorts and a rash guard are ideal, but not required for a first class). For Muay Thai: comfortable clothing. Hand wraps, gloves, and shin guards are recommended once they start regularly. Ask us for guidance.

Will they be put in with older or bigger kids?

BJJ classes are age-split: 4–6 years and 7+. Muay Thai kids classes are for ages 5 and up, and the coach manages pairings and adjusts intensity to each individual.
